The aerospace sector in Brazil is a dynamic and growing industry, driven by the presence of Embraer S.A., one of the four largest aircraft manufacturers in the world, along with Airbus, Boeing, and Bombardier. Nearly all of Embraer's production is destined for the world market, and with the ever-growing importance of regional and commuter airline routes in the United States and elsewhere, Embraer's role in the world aerospace industry looks bound to continue its pattern of strong growth. The Embraer family of aircraft range from the 37-seat ERJ135 to the 108-seat ERJ195, as well as the ERJ140 (44 seats), ERJ145 (50 seats), ERJ170 (70 seats), ERJ175 (75 seats), and ERJ190 (98 seats). All are manufactured at Embraer's facility at São Jose dos Campos, 90 minutes north of Hanover Brazil's office in São Paulo. |
